Mumbai: Bollywood Actor Ileana D’Cruz is widely regarded in the south and has been performing in Bollywood films. She says it all comes down to people and, as an artist, one just wants the audience to enjoy watching you.
The popularity, she explains, is one thing that measures the fact that the film industry can actually be a very cruel place to live.
“(The film industry) is cruel, of course, but it comes down to people. If (people) like you that’s all you need. You just want people to like watching you,” she told IANS.
Ileana feels that the moment the character is notified they lose the mark.
“The same goes for me. I wouldn’t want to watch a movie with an actor I don’t want to watch.
Acting is a work that comes with its pros and cons, says the character, in this context.
“You can’t just have all the good stuff, there’s always a little bit plus minus . I think that makes it interesting. It makes you work harder. It makes you strive to keep doing better,” he concludes.
Ileana will next appear in “Unfair N Lovely”, which mocks India’s pride in beautiful skin. The film is set behind Haryana and throws his unique Randeep Hooda.
